How To Hack WPA/WPA2 Wireless Password In Kali Linux 2.0 Using Reaver

In this tutorial, I am going to teach you how you can hack WPA/WPA2 Wifi using Kali Linux.
Kali Linux is a great penetration testing OS. It could be used for many types of pen testing. While n Windows there are thousands of softwares that claims to hack wifi but they are useless and scams.
Wireless hacking is mostly possible with just Kali Linux wireless hacking tools. Hackers get on your network using Kali Linux. You can make your wireless card work in monitor mode so it can capture all the signals around it. Kali Wireless hacking tools are not for beginners, you should have knowledge of how to use them.

So Let’s start to know how to hack WPA/WPA2 wifi using Kali Linux.

Hacking WPA/WPA2 Using Reaver tool.

Setting Up The Wireless Adapter
First of all, open up the Kali Linux Terminal and type ifconfig to find your plugged in wireless adapter. Here my adapter is ‘wlan0’.

Now Type In The Following Commands:
airmon-ng check kill
airmon-ng check

Now we need to enable monitor mode so it can capture all
the wireless devices around it. For this purpose, we will use the tool airmon-ng. Type the following command to enable monitor mode:

Airmon-ng start wlan0

Now we need to capture all the signals around us and then select the target device which you want to hack. Now we will use airodump-ng tool for this purpose. Type in the following
command:

Airodump-ng wlan0mon

It will start capturing packets. After the scanning is completed, to stop the scanning press CTRL+C command to stop scanning.

Now copy the BSSID of the victim which you want to hack and type in the following command:

reaver  -I  wlan0mon –b (BSSID) –w –k 1
replace BSSID with the victim BSSID like this:
reaver  -I  wlan0mon –b B0:5G:54:96:G7:70 –w –k

It will start the attack and after matching the correct pin it will show you the password.
